Introducing Ilam Autumnal

We have added a new tea to the menu, Ilam Autumnal.  Currently it is only available at the retail store, but if you live out of town and have to have it, just give us a call.

Ilam Autumnal, is an Autumnal harvested tea from the Ilam district in Eastern Nepal, which is very close to Darjeeling.  This tea is remarkable.  It is processed like an oolong, but has notes of a Darjeeling 2nd flush and also tastes kind of like the Oriental Beauty from Wu Liang that we currently carry, although less cinnamon notes.  The Ilam has a nice floral bouquet with caramel notes.  This tea was grown and picked in a remote area of Ilam by a collection of tea growers.  I think they did a very nice job and we are happy to share this tea with you.
